Anton Zaslavski, professionally known as Zedd, is a Grammy-winning Russian-German DJ, record producer, and songwriter. Born on September 2, 1989, in Saratov, Russia, he was raised in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Zedd is renowned for his fusion of electronic dance music (EDM) with pop and classical elements, producing chart-topping hits like "Clarity," "Stay," and "The Middle." As of May 2025, he is 35 years old. 

🎼 Early Life and Musical Foundations

Zedd was born into a musical family; his father, Igor Zaslavski, is a guitarist and schoolteacher, and his mother is a piano instructor. He began playing the piano at the age of four and took up drums at twelve. In 2002, he joined the German deathcore band Dioramic, signed by Lifeforce Records. His interest in electronic music was sparked after hearing the French electronic duo Justice's album "Cross" in 2009.

Zedd's career took off in 2010 when he won two Beatport remix contests. His remix of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" appeared on the special edition of her album. In 2012, he signed with Interscope Records and released his debut studio album, "Clarity," featuring the hit single of the same name with Foxes, which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
